Default Air Force Logo Explosion occurs at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station
At approximately 9:07 a.m. Sept. 1, 2016, an explosion occurred at launch complex 40 on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. Initial reports indicated that there were no casualties and there has been no threat to public safety. CCAFS Emergency Management is providing the initial on-scene response. A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Delta IV rocket carrying AFSPC-6 mission lifts off from Space Launch Complex-37, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., at 12:52 a.m. EDT.
