Retiree Appreciation Day

Fort Stewart, Georgia will be conducting its annual Retiree Appreciation Day (RAD) on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, beginning at 9 a.m. (EST) at The Venue on the University of Central Florida campus (located behind the CFE Arena). All US Army retired Soldiers and families are invited to attend this great event which will provide the latest information on the current state of the Army, benefits and entitlements, and the future outlook for defense programs supporting retirees and pay.

All Retired Airmen, Sailors and Marines and their families are also welcome. At this RAD, there will be briefings from the Department of the Army Retirement Services, a Federal Legislative Update on Military And Veteran Benefits, an update from the Florida VA Medical Centers, and a Presentation on Vietnam War Commemoration Activities, along with a host of other topics. Following the presentations, there will be a formal ceremony to recognize all Vietnam era veterans.

We will also have ID card-making capabilities and the event will culminate with an "Information Fair" with designated representatives from Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), TRICARE, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Florida Department of Veterans Affairs (FDVA), Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), The Retired Enlisted Association (TREA), TRICARE, Delta Dental, and Ft Stewart Health Service (FSHS).

Walk-in registration begins at 8:00 A.M. (EST) on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at UCF’s The Venue. The Retiree Appreciation Day presentations will start promptly at 9 a.m. (EST).

The Patrick AFB Retiree Activities Office (RAO) is the focal point of the Air Force Retiree Activities Program, which is to serve military retirees, spouses, widows and widowers, and to support, advance and unify the retired and active military families.
