10/1/2012 - PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The 45th Space Wing kicked off its annual Sports Week 7 a.m. today with a parade of athletes assembly as part of the opening ceremony.
Sports Week features unit or squadron teams competing against each other throughout the week. Events include a 5K run, other track events, wallyball, three-on-three basketball, four-on-four beach volleyball, bowling, six-on-six soccer, one-pitch softball, nine-hole golf, ultimate Frisbee, four-on-four flag football, singles tennis, 800-meter swim, a strongman competition, combat obstacle course, team tug-o-war and one-on-one tug-o-war.
Sports week closes Friday with a picnic and closing ceremonies.
