Brig. Gen. Anthony Cotton, left, commander, 45th Space Wing, presents a
shadow box to Maj. Michael Synakiewicz, former chief of the 45th Space Wing
Command Post. Among the gifts presented to Major Synakiewicz were a shadow
box, which represented a story of his devoted service to our country from
May 5, 1987. He flag in the shadow box was flown over Patrick AFB by the
Airmen Leadership School Staff.

Swamp Fox winners
Lt. Col. David "Dash" Ashley, 5th Space Launch Squadron commander, and other members of the Rev3/Mountain Khakis Adventure Racing Team Britt Mason and Maj. Greg Voelkel, pose with the medals they received after winning the more-than-100-kilometer Swamp Fox Adventure Race March 16 in McClellansville, S.C. The team is currently ranked first in both the United States Adventure Racing Association and North American Adventure Racing Series annual points ranking for 2013.
